Sansa Stark becomes darker in personality

Game of Thrones Season 7: Does Sansa Turn Away From Jon?

Is Sansa Stark going down a dark path in Game of Thrones season 7? Sophie Turner suggests that her character has taken a liking to killing and has been robbed of her power by Jon Snow, of all people. Will she turn against him in the new episodes?

The north could be fine. At last. The Starks are back in Winterfell, the wounds are licked. But Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) do not seem to be granted a quiet life in their homeland. Not only that Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) invades Westeros. Sansa herself could turn against her supposed half-brother (actually: cousin) in the 7th season of "Game of Thrones". It was she who helped him win the great battle against Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). When he was elected king in the north, she stood by his side. But that doesn't have to mean that Sansa will stick with Jon until the bitter end.

"Westworld" better than "Game of Thrones"? At least that's what George R. R. Martin thinks

No appreciation for Sansa

Actress Sophie Turner makes it clear where her character's frustration comes from and why Sansa is not entirely happy with the developments. "Gamesradar" quotes passages from an interview that is said to be included on the Blu-ray for the 6th season of "Game of Thrones". Sophie then says that Sansa did everything for Jon and the North. But she never got the recognition she deserved. Sansa had her first taste of power and was robbed shortly afterwards. Jon wasn't listening to Sansa. Another man does: Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish. So the two exchanged looks when Jon was proclaimed the new king in the north.

Sansa on the throne

"So she looks at Littlefinger as if to say: Oh, you were right. Perhaps the beautiful picture you had of me on the throne and you by my side is not so bad after all," Sophie Turner confirms in another Interview with "Vulture". Sansa would now be ready to join the game for power. We would have already received a "light version of the dark Sansa", but that's just a foretaste. We're curious to see if Sansa will actually turn against Jon and team up with Littlefinger. Because then there is potentially another candidate for the Iron Throne. The 7th season "Game of Thrones" is expected to start in the summer of 2017 on Sky.
