What is aggregation disaggregation

Options for aggregation and disaggregation in standard SOP

Selection of product group members

You can disaggregate a product group either for all its members (product groups or materials) or only for selected members. This second option is particularly useful if you want to plan different branches of a product group hierarchy at different times. You select product group members in the dialog box via which you call up the two-part planning screen. The system suggests all members of the head product group. However, you can change this selection as required using the checkboxes to the left of the members.

Creation of sales plans for members

You can set disaggregation-specific parameters for creating sales plans for members in the dialog box that is displayed before branching to the planning table. To have the system create sales plans for members, select the checkbox Create sales plans and choose one of the following two disaggregation strategies:

  • Disaggregate production plans

  • Disaggregate sales plans

You can also create sales plans for members in the planning table with a corresponding function and / or a macro.

Creation of production plans for members

You can set disaggregation-specific parameters for creating production plans for members in the dialog box that is displayed before branching to the planning table. Five strategies are available for this purpose:

No production plans are created for the product group members.

The production quantities of the product group members are calculated in such a way that a target range is achieved. You can obtain this target range by copying the range of the head product group; to do this, select the checkbox Copy target range .

The production quantities of the product group members are calculated in such a way that a target stock level is reached. You can obtain this target stock by copying the stock of the header product group; to do this, select the checkbox Disaggregate target stock .

The production quantities of the product group members are calculated in such a way that their stocks at the end of a period are zero.

The production quantities of the product group members are calculated in such a way that they correspond to the sales quantities.

You can also create production plans for members in the planning table with a corresponding function and / or a macro.

Macros for performing aggregation and disaggregation

As soon as you are in the planning table, you can use one of the standard macros ( To editmacro) aggregate or disaggregate. For a detailed explanation of each of these macros, seeMacros.
