Theresa May & dash; Wiki: age, height and more

Theresa Mary May was born as Theresa Mary Brasier on October 1, 1956 in Eastbourne, East Sussex, England. In contrast to many of her conservative party friends, the pastor's daughter went to a state school.

As a twelve-year-old she wanted to become a politician. She studied geography at St Hugh’s College, Oxford. She then worked at the Bank of England and as a financial advisor. In 1997 she moved into the British House of Commons as the winner of the Maidenhead constituency. While the Labor Party was in power, it was in talks in the shadow cabinet for various ministerial posts. She was the first woman to be the "Chairman" of the Conservative Party from 2002 to 2003 and at that time drew attention to herself with a widely acclaimed speech in which she self-criticized the politics of her party. She was promoted to Interior Secretary in David Cameron's cabinet. After David Cameron's resignation due to the Brexit vote, she succeeded him as party leader and prime minister. In terms of content, she positioned herself as a hardliner against Islamic terrorism and illegal immigration. However, she advocates same-sex marriage and wants to bring more women into important political positions. An important task of her term of office is to lead Great Britain out of the EU. To this end, she announced in January that her country would leave the common market. On March 29, 2017, the British government officially applied to leave the EU. In the early elections for the lower house on June 8, 2017, Theresa May lost the absolute majority. Since 1980 Theresa May has been married to the bank manager Philip John May, whom she met while studying at Oxford. The couple have no children. Theresa May is a member of the Church of England and is known for her fondness for eccentric high heels, which she also wears on official dates.
