Which server does Daequan play in Fortnite

The top streamer of 2019 on Twitch explains why he's no longer playing Fortnite

Turner "Tfue" Tenney (22) is the streamer with the most followers on Twitch after Ninja. The online shooter Fortnite made him a star and rich. But for a few weeks he has had enough and is now playing Call of Duty: Warzone.

Turner "Tfue" Tenney currently has 8.5 million followers on Twitch. Since Ninja left and after overtaking shroud in August 2019, Tfue has been the biggest channel streamer on Twitch.

He was also far ahead in the hours he saw: no streamer was seen more in 2019 than Tfue.

This is how important Fortnite is to Tfue:

  • Tfue has gained the majority of followers since 2018. That was when his career really took off after playing games like H1Z1 or Destiny.
  • In 2018, Tfue spent 1,782 hours with Fortnite in front of an average of 25,547 viewers - here he established himself as one of the best players in Fortnite
  • In 2019 it was 1,987 hours in front of an average of 44,507 viewers. Tfue replaced Ninja as the platform's main Fortnite streamer and set a trend. He was significantly more aggressive than the family-friendly ninja, is 7 years younger and made it to the World Cup as a great streamer - nobody else managed that

That has now changed: Tfue is no longer a pure Fortnite player. He started playing Call of Duty: Warzone more and more. On 676 hours of Fortnite in the last 180 days there are now 366 hours in Warzone.

In the past few weeks he has completely switched to Warzone. At Fortnite, he only looked twice briefly for a few hours in the last 30 days: He is otherwise completely in Warzone mode.

He hasn't had as many viewers as he did in Fortnite since playing Call of Duty: Warzone, but he seems to be more comfortable with the new title.

Tfue has not changed his style. It's the tried and tested mix of good gameplay, swear words and little tantrums:

Tfue can no longer play Fortnite, otherwise he will go insane

That's why he changed: Tfue seems to have an issue with the current state of Fortnite. The game is "rubbish" at the moment, he says. The times when he played Fortnite, the Twitch streamer mainly complained that Fortnite had major server problems and was frequently lagging. Tfue is obsessed with his ping in Fortnite and therefore wanted to move 1500 kilometers. You can imagine how much Lag drives him crazy.

But “Fortnite is stupid” - Tfue has been saying that in different variations since he was known.

This time it's not just about the current state of the game. Tfue is just Fortnite tired:

"What you have to understand: A lot of kids who are playing Fortnite haven't played it when I played it. I was playing it when it just came out.

You can't play a game for years in a row. I usually last two or three years at most in one game. You cannot play a game for 5 years in a row. You're going to be crazy. "

Tfue falls out of the Twitch Olympus during watched hours

How does that work? Changing a main game almost always has a negative impact on audience numbers. Tfue is no exception.

Tfue was by far the most watched streamer in Fortnite in 2019. There he had a huge lead over everyone else. In 2019, Tfue was the most watched streamer in the world anyway. With 92.7 million hours it was ahead of summit1g (64.5 million hours) and shroud (62.78 million hours).

In Call of Duty, Tfue has only been in fourth place in the last 30 days, behind streamers who turned to the game early on, such as NICKMERCS or TimTheTatman.

In the last 180 days, Tfue is only in 7th place in the watched hours. Streamers like summit1g, xQc, Anomaly or Nickmercs have overtaken him. (via sullygnome)

Who will win Twitch 2020? After Tfue easily won the Twitch crown in 2019, the veteran summit1g is currently in front. It was particularly successful with Valorant, most recently summit1g turned to MMORPGs such as The Elder Scrolls Online.

However, xQc is still in the running - the current trend for Fall Guys seems to play into the cards of the darling of the young Twitch viewers.

A few months ago we got a rare glimpse into Tfue's personal life. There he talked about his youth and his beginnings as a content creator. Tfue comes from a family in which things are a little different from what we usually know. There is no trust in the school system:

Tfue is a millionaire thanks to Twitch and Fortnite, says: "I never really went to school"
